Note from founder

Hi all,

I wish I had better news, but unfortunately the LCAT Medicaid bill has been vetoed by the governor.

While this is not the news we hoped for, we remain optimistic we will get LCATs added to the Medicaid Provider List in the near future.

Our bill sponsors,  Assembly member Bronson & Senator Brouk, and our lobbyist Denise worked SO hard on this, up until the very end and remain committed to resolving this matter.

As a quick reminder, over 100 bills have been vetoed this year alone (many that would help NYers as ours would) & it is not unusual for bills to get vetoed several times before success happens.

Unlike many of those bills, we have a path forward. The governor and her team have stated they support our measure, but believe it should be accomplished through the budget process.  We already have meetings scheduled with the Division of Budget Mental Hygiene staff in the New Year.

This is NOT the end of the road -- we will find a way to persevere & meet our goals, for ourselves/our license, our clients & all NYers.

In solidarity,

Maya
